Ann is the eldest known daughter of John Guthrie, a Scottish immigrant to Virginia, his wife Elizabeth Basket.

“Ann Guttrey ye Daughr. of Jno. & Eliz.a Guttrey was baptz. 16th of Octob. 1687”

There are no marriage or death records associated with Ann in the CCP Register.

This person is found in some trees linked to Archibald Rhea, who immigrated from Ireland to Augusta County, VA settling on or near Walkers Creek. There is also doubt as to whether Rhea’s wife was a Guthrie at all, but there is no evidence supporting a connection to Middlesex County. Archibald died 17 July 1763 in Augusta as one of the dead buried after the 2nd Kerr’s Creek Massacre by the Shawnee, as witnessed by William Patton.
