The only information we have about Jane Guthrie is that she was born in 1741 and died in 1744 in Ireland. Her father, Robert Guthrie, and older brother Robert, had already sailed for America in 1744, probably to establish themselves in their new homeland before bringing over the mother and younger children. It is unknown if this was a planned 2-part immigration to America or if Jane became sick and it was determined that Bridget would wait with Jane and James until such a time as it was deemed safe to travel. Unfortunately, the girl died at about 3 years of age.
